Olsen doesn't turn: "You're here." Lane asks: "What're you doing?" "What I should've done a century ago." Iris stares at the black glass: "You're feeding the third mirror?" Olsen points with a bloodied hand: "This mirror is the lock. The one beneath the throne is the keyhole. The one in the forest is the door. None work alone. This mirror holds the incantation that wakes the Abyss. So long as it stays dark, the Abyss sleeps."
Lane's voice turns low: "What about my people?" For the first time Olsen looks back at him, his eyes full of exhaustion: "Your people... were never trapped in the mirror."
⚡ The Hook Lane freezes. "What did you say?" Olsen looks at him, exhausted: "The werewolves weren't sealed away. They were hidden. Hidden somewhere only the elves knew. And the last elf —" he looks at Iris, "— is you." Iris goes white: "I... I don't remember..." "Of course you don't. Your mother sealed your memories away.
