Iris sobs against the glass: "You promised! You promised you'd come back!" Lane looks back one last time and smiles. "Iris. Those three coppers—" "What?" "Keep them." His body dissolves into a stream of silver light, pouring into the Abyss gate. The rift seals into a smooth mirror.
