Iris does not take the mirror. "Who are you?" The man sits and sets the glass on the table. "Name's Kai. Just a wanderer." He found the mirror in the palace ruins. A year ago the throne hall caved in and Olsen died — he fed the seal with his own blood, day after day for a year, until he had nothing left. When he died he was clutching a silver ring engraved "To my wife, for all time."

Lane's voice, but weak: "Iris… it's me. I'm in the mirror. Vince is here too. He's waiting for me to fade. When I do, he'll open the Abyss gate again. You have to find the third key before the next red moon."
