出镜 — the sword seals the glass; she talks to the mirror every day — until one line blooms on its face.
Iris leads Kai's sister — a girl of fifteen or sixteen — toward the mirror's exit. Lane stands behind them. "Iris." She stops, doesn't turn. "Those three coppers… keep 'em." She glances back, amber eyes swimming with tears, mouth tugging up: "No. You haven't paid your debt. Not even close. So you will come out. I'll come every day. Every single day. Till you walk through that mirror."
"Alright." Iris turns and leads the girl through the mirror's exit; white light swallows them. In the ruins of the throne hall, she tumbles out carrying Lia. Kai rushes over and takes his sister. "She alright?" "She's fine. Just asleep." Iris stands and turns to the small palm mirror — Lane's face is slowly fading in the glass. He smiles at her once, and then it is an ordinary mirror again.
Iris drives the sword into the mirror. The blood-red veins on the blade burst open, sealing the glass shut, tight.
⚡ The Hook She crouches, cradles the mirror in her hands, and speaks to the glass: "Lane. Today I saved a girl. Her name's Lia. Kai's sister." The glass is still. Her voice shakes: "Lane… say something." Slowly, words bloom on the surface: "I heard you. Your hair looks nice today." Iris laughs. Tears fall on the mirror.
Five Elements — The sword is Metal, the mirror is Water — Metal sinks in Water, Metal above Water seals. She drives the blade into the glass: Metal sealing Water. The Abyss's door closes, but the channel for words stays open — the glass can still write, Metal still breathing within Water. A seal that isn't a death sentence is a true seal.
Ten Gods — Iris's "Direct Seal" shines brightest here — mercy in saving Lia, resilience in talking to the glass, resolve in sealing it with the blade. The Direct Seal asks no reward, only peace of mind: a sword can seal a door, but never the words she wants to say.
Wisdom — "Your hair looks nice today." Three hundred and three coppers — he repays them with one line of text. Deep love isn't a thunderous confession; it's the most ordinary sentence, carried across the glass.「你今天的头发很好看。」
